I will never forget many things about you Jim; but I think most often of the night you tried to teach me a few Scottish drinking songs. As my level of cognition went down, your brogue became more pronounced - I didn't learn more than a few words, but boy we had a lot of fun.

Mrs. Mejury,
I am SO sorry for your loss. Jim was a beautiful soul and was a great guy and an awesome friend to my dad. I have many great memories of him, from being my soccer coach as a young kid to performing with him in The Music Man. What a loss for the world but an even bigger blessing for the time we had him here. I can't imagine the ray of emotions you must be going through; just know that the southwest will be missing Jim more than you think. I was watching a video of "Jonathan's going away party" at my parents house that all of you attended, and Jim was dancing in our backyard with through the water hose spray, so funny! His spirit was bright and we love that guy. Is there a place I can mail a card to so your kids can read it. If not, please tell them I'm thinking of them.
Love you all,
Adam Blom

"Mr. Ma 'G' (Jim) was a mentor in my young life as my baseball coach. But it was later in my adult life that meant the most to me as a really fantastic friend. I loved joking around with him trying to emulate his accent. We would laugh the night away.
He would always tell my wife that he was so glad that I grew out of my "ugly" stage as a young kid lol. He never held back on his honesty that's what I loved most a true loving man. I'm going to miss him so much. I love you Jim may you rest in Peace."

Christina Noe Martin has posted a new condolence on the tribute to Jim Mejury .
"Mr. Mejury was one of my Torpedoes coaches when I was in middle and high school. He was a good coach and just a nice person. He was always cheering for us, coaching us and supporting us like we were his own kids. And he was also able to find the humor in us. To laugh or chuckle at us when we came off the field grumbling about something. The game was always fun playing for that Torpedoes team. I have warm memories of Mr. Mejury and the rest of the Mejury family as well. He will always be a happy part of my youth. My heart feels heavy and sad. Wishing you peace and strength during this very sad and difficult time."

Our memories of Jim are of his boundless energy and joy. He papered several rooms in our Midland Park house, cutting every sheet before hanging even one, and NEVER making a mistake! He was a joy to work with in the plays and community organizations. His love of family and of Carol Ann was always so evident. We will miss him greatly and send our love and prayers to all the family.

This week has and continues to be one of many ups and downs. Celebrating life and milestones and grieving those that have left us. One thing I have learned from this man is that through it all you have a choice. You can either bow your head and succumb to the weight of your grief and troubles OR you can continue forward- chin up, face towards the sun and choose to smile. Thank you Mr. M for the smiles and hugs and laughter and of course ... The music. "I will feel a glow just thinking of you..."

Mr. Mejury made such a wonderful impression on me. He was such a kind man and seemed to be able to speak on so many topics. He had an intangible wit and personality to him that not many people possess. I did not know how truly sick he was and I regret not going to see him or touching base. God Bless The Mejury family. With Love and Respect, Doug

I am humbled by the sad and shocking news that Mr. Mejury has passed on. He was always a perfect gentleman with a big smile on his face. Ironically, I got to know him better on my periodic visits and talks to him while Elaine was undergoing her own battle. His strength, given the circumstances, was something that really stuck out to me. I was not nearly as close with the family as many of my friends and contemporaries, so I can only imagine the sadness they feel. Mr. Mejury is the Patriarch of one of the most famous and incredible families to live in the Bergen County area. I always noticed that led by his direction and guidance, all members of the family were always smiling and positive and happy regardless of anything else. There was a true sense of LOVE in the Mejury home that anyone could feel as soon as they entered it. The amount of talent and heart in the family is incredible. The Midland Park and related communities have lost an iconic man, but the Mejury family lost their Dad/Husband and I will keep them in my prayers. Mr Mejury was ALL CLASS and the world is better off for having him in it. My deepest sympathy to Elaine, Karen, Janice, Andrew and Mrs. Mejury..
