Dear Morton family, I just saw the notice of Sue's death in the GCC magazine; I am so saddened. Sue was my mentor at Grove City my freshman year. The college probably paired us because we were both from New Jersey. She contacted me prior to the start of the school year and then once I had arrived on campus. She made my transition to college life so much easier...a friendly, somewhat familiar face there to greet me, right from the get go. She touched my life is such a positive way; I am not surprised to read the condolences from all the others who's lives were touched by this special person.I hope this message brings you some measure comfort this holiday season.

My prayers are with you, Tom, and with the entire extended family. The news of Sue's passing just arrived to me today. Sue was my Tri Sig sister at Grove City and I treasure memories of her grace, many capabilities, and sweet laugh. So glad we sisters all got together again a few years back in Pittsburgh! God bless you all.

Our family remembers Dr. Morton with deep respect and affection. Both our children started Ramsey schools at Tisdale and Dr. Morton always remembered them right through high school. I had some dealings with her as well and she was truly a consumate professional but always showed her charm, grace, dignity and warmth. Her mark on our kids and Tisdale will go on for many years. We extend our deepest condolences to her family.

Dear Dr. Tom Morton, I am saddened to know that your wife passed and had been sick for some time. So you were there and part of her struggle. No doubt there will be times when something recalled will bring a smile across your face and other times when perhaps a tear will run down your cheek as you begin a new, unchartered stage of life. May God bless you and the family where you need the blessings most. and likely time to say goodbye

Dear Morton Family, I am 11 years old and even though I don't live in Ramsey anymore I will never forget Dr. Morton, my principal at Tisdale Elementary School. Dr. Morton was so sweet and kind to every kid and parent. She knew everyone's name and always made you feel special about yourself. She would always say hi when I walked past her in the hallway. She also made sure my sister got extra help and now my sister is a straight A student and is on honor roll. I'm so sorry about your loss and you should know she made a big difference in the lives of alot of kids, especially me.

It was our great privilege to have Dr. Susan Morton as principal to all four of our daughters at Tisdale School. She made such an enormous impact on the lives of our children and we will never forget that. She brought a smile to Tisdale School and made it a school that was admired by all. We will cherish all the memories of her and wish The Morton Family our deepest sympathy. Sue, Rob, Elizabeth, Katelyn, Erica, and Angela Gjini

Long before we met, Susan, I knew from the way Terry spoke about you that not only were you a unique principal but, more importantly, a very special person. One of the high points of the last few Christmas seasons for me was my visits to Tisdale and Hubbard. And the high point of my visit to Tisdale was going to the kindergarten classrooms with you under the guise of giving out candy canes. It was obvious to me that the real reason was that you wanted to make sure that those kids wouldn't miss out on Santa's visit. The smile on your face and your obvious love for them was the real gift. Susan, you gave me the opportunity to do something I'd wanted to do for a very long time. Thank you. You were missed last Christmas by all the Tisdale family...and by Santa too.

Having 2 children attend Tisdale School, we were graced everyday with Dr. Morton's smile. She knew EVERY student and their families names, an amazing task given that there were over 300 families in the building each year! She was a wonderful educator who supported the parents of Tisdale in making positive educational decisions for the children. An avid advocate of reading, our family will read chapters in our books tonight in her honor :) She will be missed dearly in the Ramsey Schools and our hearts. Our condolences to her family.

Our family was deeply saddened to hear of Dr Morton's passing. Our two oldest children benefited greatly from her enthusiasm for education during their years at Tisdale. We wish our third child would have had the opportunity to experience her caring guidance as well. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
