Obituary of Nancy E. Santomauro

Nancy Elizabeth Santomauro, of Franklin Lakes, NJ, died on June 20, 2016 after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. She was born in New York on April 21, 1965, and has lived in Bergen County for many years. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at Holy Name School of Nursing. Working at Holy Name Hospital and later, Hackensack University Medical Center, Nancy dedicated her life to taking care of her patients and always put others before herself. Nancy is survived by her mother, Emily Raia, and three children: Gabriela, Alessandra, and Giuliana. She is also survived by her brothers: Peter, and his wife, Joyce; Michael, and his wife, Judy; and Joseph, and his wife, Jackie. She was predeceased by her father, Peter J. Raia, Sr. Nancy loved to travel all over the world. She was an avid Yankees and Giants fan. She enjoyed spending time with her children and her dog, Ginger. Nancy loved animals and spending time outdoors. She was a selfless and caring women, with a bright personality and positive outlook, and was loved deeply by all she encountered. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nancy's memory to the Multiple Sclerosis National Society, Bergen-Passaic Chapter, 718 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ 07666. Her Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, June 25th, at 10:00 am at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 787 Franklin Lake Road, Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.
