Obituary of Beverly N. Ehrhardt

Beverly New Ehrhardt died on May 20, 2016. She was 86. Born and raised in Rutherford, NJ, she graduated from Edgewood Park High School in Briarcliff Manor, NY, and graduated from Centenary College, Hackettstown, NJ. Beverly was a former member of the Rutherford Ambulance Corp. Her parents were the founders of Ellwood S. New, Inc., in 1926, which is a real estate and insurance firm in Rutherford, NJ, and continued for three generations in which she, her husband, Jack, and their daughter Judy worked for many years. In 1967, Beverly, her husband Jack and their three daughters moved to Saddle River where she enjoyed gardening and her horses. Beverly was predeceased by her husband in 2005 and they were married for 55 years. Beverly is survived by her 3 daughters: Lynn Ehrhardt Gildea and her husband Chip of Saddle River, Judith Ehrhardt Higgins and her husband John of Ho-Ho-Kus, B.J. Ehrhardt of Goshen, NY; seven grandchildren: Brian Gildea, his wife Mary, Kristin Gildea Fox, her husband Ryan, Ashley Higgins Dieck, her husband Christopher, Brenley Higgins, McLain Cheney, Ryan Stiskin and Skyler Stiskin and her five great-grandchildren: Thomas Gildea, Alison Gildea, Sutton Fox, Peyton Fox and Hannah Dieck. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Lyndhurst.
