The world has lost a little of its light with the passing of Chuck Dombeck. Throughout the years I spent working with or for him at both The Federal Reserve Bank of NY and at Pfizer, Chuck was a mentor, inspiration, tough task master and great friend. He has left his mark on the world in so many ways and for that we are truly blessed. Gail may you and Chuck's entire family find comfort in the thoughts, prayers and love of the many people who will miss but never forget him

Dear Gail and family,
I was fortunate to have Chuck as a supervisor and mentor at Pfizer. Our work relationship began in 1980 when Chuck was the HR Director of Pfizer Laboratories at the New York office. I was the Employment Coordinator and Chuck supported my promotion to Personnel Associate and move to the Brooklyn Plant. His guidance and advice enabled me to be successful in this assignment. He was thoughtful and fair in his decisions and knew how to engage and motivate employees. I'll miss his quick wit and infectious smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your beautiful family at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Margaret McKenna Lyons

Chuck and I became associates and friends as a result of the special relationship that developed between Pfizer and Florida A&M's (FAMU) School of Business and Industry(SBI) where I was a professor. We became the point people for this partnership which included my working at Pfizer each summer from 1992-2005. Bill Steere former Pfizer CEO more then once expressed to me his amazement at the phenomenal growth of this relationship....we both knew that it was Chuck's unique skill set and belief in the program that created the climate for this partnership to thrive.
Our working together evolved into a special friendship that continued to this day. On behalf of the scores of SBIans who benefitted from Pfizer internships and employment, grew from Chuck's guest lectures at FAMU or benefitted from his coaching I express my profound thanks.
Rest in peace my friend. Ron Tate

Dearest Gail and family,
We are both so saddened to learn about Chuck's passing. Chuck epitomized all the good things and times of Allendale, all the reasons we raised our children there.
We can not imagine how difficult a time this is for you, but we send you our heartfelt thoughts and prayers for God's abundant grace to encircle you and your family.
Carol has always kept us informed even though we have made no contact with you. She sent us an email last night. We are presently in Sydney visiting our son Bill, his wife Laurie, Kaili 6 and Matteo
4.
We regret that we will not be there to attend the services for Chuck and have the opportunity to greet your children and grandchildren. May God's peace be with you.
Very fondly,
Kathryn and Dana

Chuck was not only a Prince of a guy, he was a Saint of a guy! I promoted him more than once to that lofty position in conversations with him over the years. He wasn't just there when you needed him... he stood tall and steadfast in every situation-- always offering his help and counsel. We'll all miss him down here but he'll fit right in where he is now!

When God brought Chuck Dombeck into this world He brought immeasurable blessings to all who knew him. As one who had the pleasure of working with him for our many years together at Pfizer, I can attest to his heart of care and concern for people; his vision and optimism for the future; his incomparable work ethic and his unquestionable integrity. Chuck will indeed be missed by all of us more than words can express. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Gail an his wonderful family at this time of loss and sorrow. May God enfold them all in the loving arms of Jesus and grant them peace which only He can give at a time such as this.

I had the pleasure of coaching youth baseball, in Allendale, with Chuck. At one point, he asked me to get behind the plate, so he could pitch a few. He still had his fastball. I had some nice bruising where my wedding ring was. :>)) He was a terrific man. Sorry for your loss.

A life well lived is the biggest compliment I think someone can say about someone at a time like this! I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am for your enormous loss!
His love of life and family is evident in all of you! The love he shared with you, Gail, was so evident and his pride and love for his kids and grandkids reminds me of what life is supposed to be all about! I will always remember his smile, his sense of humor and his generous and giving heart. Chuck will always hold a special place in my heart for the kindness he showed me many years ago when Eric and Trevor were little boys. On several occasions he made a point to include Eric in an extra game of catch or a much needed word of encouragement for Eric in my early divorce years. He provided a strong, caring and loving male role model to Eric when it was badly needed. He was loved by many and will be missed!
Love to you all Jo-Ann
