Obituary of Edward Ringley
Edward Ringley, age 77 of Saddle River died Saturday, September 29, 2007. Born in Kona, Kentucky, raised in Delaware, Ohio and resided in New Jersey most of his adult life, most recently in Cedar Grove and Saddle River. Ed was an Army veteran. A pioneer in the Polyethylene Film Industry during its infancy in early 1950's. Ed designed and manufactured several patented extrusion processes still in use today. He was recognized in the industry for successfully starting several blown film plants in New Jersey as well as Indiana, including Champ Plastics, Rafco Plastics, BER Plastics, Delawanna Plastics and Astro Plastics to name a few. Still active in machinery design and doing consultant work for other plastic concerns. Ed was respected by his peers and competitors alike. He was a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers and a life member of the New Jersey Audubon Society. Survived by his beloved wife Jean (nee Trotta) Ringley of 30 years, his children, Richard Ringley of Charlotte, NC, Robert and his wife Linda Ringley of Wyckoff, Carolyn Ringley of Wyckoff and Steven and his wife Diane Ringley of Wanaque. His grandchildren, Robert Keith, Robert Christopher, Jaclyn and Rebecca. His brother, James Ringley of Columbus, OH and several nieces and nephews. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Prayers Thursday 9:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass 10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Interment Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah.
