Obituary of Frank T. Dillon

Dillon, Frank T. age 90 of Mahwah, formerly of Midland Park died Saturday, March 12, 2016. Born in Yonkers, NY he was long time resident of Midland Park before moving to Mahwah 25 years ago. Frank was the Owner and Operator of FD Fire Equipment of Mahwah before his retirement 18 years ago. He was a parishioner of Church of the Nativity in Midland Park and a member of Knights of Columbus Council 5498. Frank was a co-founder of the Midland Park Little League Baseball Association in 1953 and was named “Citizen of the Year” by the Borough on October 1st, 1961. He was a Navy veteran who served from 1943-1946 in the Second World War. Frank had an uncompromising love for his family, a passion for the Yankees, and never met a casino he didn’t like. He will always be remembered for his catch phrases, “if you could be any animal, what would you be?” and “you need $1.32 to run away with me.” Surviving him are his loving wife of 65 years Doris (nee Hansen) Dillon of Mahwah, his three sons, Kevin and his wife Patty of Midland Park, Brian and his wife Cindy of Washingtonville, NY, and Donald and his wife Patti of Ramsey. Also surviving him are his four grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, Kimberly, Michael his wife Amanda, and his two great grandchildren, Logan and Lucas.
