Chubby, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. It is never easy to lose someone we love especially to such a horrific disease. I will always remember the times we shared back in the early 70,s when our first sons played together. JoAnn was terrific with Darren. I remember the walks to the pump house to let the boys ride on the swings. It seems like yesterday! Peace and Love to all.

Chubby and JoAnn
We thought of the both of you consistently and prayed that things would work out. Unfortunately what we
didn't want to see happened, but me and my wife know it was for the better. No more suffering for JoAnn even though we know its gonna be real tough for you Chubby and the family, because our hearts take a long time to mend.My wife is speechless and even though she didn't know JoAnn personally her emotions are beyound what i can express. She only wishes she could've meet her, because we felt she was so close to us as you were to.
We also feel where she is now, is better than the hell on earth that we are at times put through. They say God works in strange ways and i guess we have to accept that, even though we don't always agree with him, but the thing is there is no more suffering for JoAnn and we all know she is very comfortable where she is and will be watching over you and the family and be guiding you in the right directions.I'm sure she's smiling and saying to herself please don't suffer for me with a big smile on her face.Chubby Take care of yourself and you know how to reach me, sometime i wish our journey would end ,but we keep hoping and praying that things will work out,but we also know what will be will be. Once again take care and we love you.

Joanne or “Mrs. Cal” was like a second mother to all of us that grew up in the same Warren Point school neighborhood in Fair Lawn. The Calendrillo house served as a meeting point to many of our childhood adventures. She had food for us all at all times and truly enjoyed the comradery that we all had growing up in a neighborhood full of kids that later on in life would end up maintaining very close friendships. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think about the wonderful childhood that we all shared and Mrs Cal was such a huge part of that. She was always smiling, laughing, and taking care of all of the boys at the Calendrillo House which served as a Base or Headquarters for all of our activities. She was a very Hip Mom and felt more like a friend than a person that was supervising whatever we had going on. I also enjoyed seeing all the Love that Mr. Calendrillo had for her because it was a great example of what a marriage should be, full of Love that they had for each other. She worried a lot about the safety of her 2 Boys Marcus and Darren but what Mom doesn’t . Later on in life we shared some wonderful times down in Wildwood where the Calendrillo family had a condo. There were some endless summer days and nights that we all shared at the Beach. Her Love and presence always made me feel safe whether we were in Fair Lawn, Pompton Lakes, or down in Wildwood. The Love that The Calendrillo household holds is something that will be with me forever. May you rest in peace Mrs. Cal and I hope you are smiling somewhere in peace. With Love and sadness, MARTY, as was my childhood nickname that you used to call me.

Chubby and family
It is with the heaviest heart that I send you my heartfelt regrets over the passing of JoJo. I haven't seen JoJo since 1969 but I remember her to be a feisty young lady who supported and loved her boyfriend (Chubby)without condition. I would have bet at that time that the two of them would spend their lives together
God bless Chubby and all of the families whose pleasure it was to be associated with this courageous women
