Dearest Lily and Family,
I am so pleased Joan Yeaple Taunton emailed me the obituary information about George. I really know Lily through tennis as well as Joan and Linda (Stetler/Williamson). I am sorry I didn't meet this mountain of a man I have read about. But had I met him he would not have told me what you children and your Mom have written. He was a patriot, a scholar, an artist, and family man. I have seen some pictures of children he did as well as the Allendale mural all that denote a very generous person.Much for you all to be proud of.
Lily, I wish you much comfort and send my love. My husband David passed last February and we had celebrated 60 years together too. So I know the challenges and with patience you will adjust. I know your children will crown you with their devotion.
By the way I sent a small donation to your church in George's honor.There is sure support there too1
