Obituary of Edward Bandstra

BANDSTRA, Edward J. age 87 of Midland Park, died Sunday, September 16, 2007 at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Ed was born in Paterson on February 16, 1920. He lived most of his life in Midland Park before moving to North Haledon 1 year ago. Ed was a self-employed plumber for many years and in his later career was plumbing inspector for the Borough of Midland Park. He attended the Grace Bible Church in North Haledon, was a former member of the Cathedral Choir, and a member of the New Jersey Master Plumbers Association. Surviving are his children, Robert E. Bandstra of Eastham, MA, Ruth H. Cadmus of Brielle, NJ, Marjorie A. Person of Ringwood, NJ, and John A. Bandstra of Midland Park. Ed also leaves his 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and his brother Ike Bandstra of Allendale. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2007, 10:00 am at the Chapel of the Holland Christian Home, 151 Graham Avenue, North Haledon, NJ. Interment will follow in the Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Visiting is at the Chapel on Tuesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Bible Church, Missions Fund, 369 High Mountain Road, North Haledon, NJ 07508.
