Obituary of Salvator Mancino

Mancino, Salvator, age 90, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Allendale Nursing Home, Allendale, NJ. Salvator was born in Brooklyn, NY and had resided in Palisade Park and New Milford for 37 years. He was a veteran, having served in the US Army during World War II. Prior to his retirement, he was a Long Shoreman with United Fruit, Edgewater, NJ. Salvator was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Louise (nee Miranda) Mancino on November 5, 2014. Salvator is survived by his loving daughters; Sally (Gene) Jennings of Mahwah, Lisa Mancino of Paramus and Tina (Charles) Evans of Montvale, his beloved grandson, Alexander Upton and his wife, Miri, his great granddaughter, Ayla Upton who was the delight of his life and his sister Inez Nicoletta of Ridgefield, NJ. He will be greatly missed by all, but forever in our hearts. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 1, 2016 from 2:00-5:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016, 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by the interment at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, contributions in Salvator’s memory may be made to Julia’s Butterfly Foundation, 637 Wyckoff Avenue, Suite 285, Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
