For years I just got to talk to John Ringer on the phone. In 2013 I had the opportunity to meet him. He was everything I thought he would be and then some. His voice could fill a room and the stories he could tell. Honesty, integrity, respect and compassion, that is the way he treated me and my family. I will always look up to him as a man of character.

When I first met John, I was a child who really didn't have a sense of family. In the way John raised his children, he was an example of the qualities I always imagined in a father. Not only as a father, John set the bar high as an example of a devoted husband. During his illness, he exhibited great strength and bravery in fighting such a dread disease but always maintained his desire to put his family first and himself last. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Sincere condolences Marge, JC & Laurie, Debbie, Matt & April and the entire family. Love, cousin Barbara

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Although we had not gotten to know John well, we were all members of the Sampson Air Force group who enjoyed our fellowship together, thanks to Walt Steesy and Mary. Don enjoyed being included in the Red Suspenders Picture Group. Walt has helped us all have great lasting memories.

John was my good friend and neighbor for 31 years. John and I shared so many of the same interests, including cars, boats and our love of Lake George. John was always there for me and my family to lend a helping hand or to guide us in making an important decision. I will always treasure the many wonderful memories I have of John. Whether it was on the porch in Wyckoff for a brief chat "although our talks never seemed short", in the driveway to see one of John's new cars or up at Lake George on the dock where we sat together and enjoyed the beauty of the lake with Marge and Nancy. John was so many things to me and my family. When my Father passed in 1992 my 2 daughters Jillian 4 and Emily 2 looked at John as there surrogate Grandpa as he pushed them on the swing in our backyard or played games with them on his porch "so many wonderful memories"! John was much more to me than just a friend "words cannot express my feelings!". John, I will miss you very much and I will never forget the many great lessons of life you taught me.

John was a great member of my family and a great personal friend. He had a great sense of humor who always teased me and Rosemarie. He was a great man of faith who always shared his love of Jesus Christ. He was a very giving man and had great compassion. I will miss our many conversations on many subjects. We will resume them some time soon when the Lord calls us home or when the Rapture comes. To Marge, JC, Matt, and Debbie you will be in my prayers for strength and comfort for your tremendous loss. May God strengthen and encourage you as the days go by,
Love,
Bob
