Frank was a special person. I met Frank through political work and although our political paths diverged, I will hold the care and love Frank showed me as cherished memories. I never told him how much I appreciated the time he spent mentoring me. I learned to analyze, love a wide variety of topics, and how to listen from watching Frank interact with people from all walks of life. Frank introduced me to Soul food, The Last Waltz, and the music of Nick Lowe. He was super thoughtful and loved to chat over a good meal. He made people feel that they were the most important thing in the world. He always had an easy way getting into conversations with people. It’s hard to count the many times he drove hours to meet me at my college campus to help organize a meeting or just to simply check in. He even took me to buy my first pair of work boots and called everyday after work to encourage me. Frank was disciplined and serious, but had a huge heart and love for life. May God bless him and his family.
Con cariño,
Jeff Kikawa

Dear Aunt Ann, Patty, Nancy and Jano,
Frank always followed his own path in life and I'm sure, at times, it was difficult. Although he and I probably wouldn't agree on most things political, I admire his tenacity, dedication and perseverance, as they relate to his efforts to promote his sincerely-held core values. Few people make that kind of staunch, life-long commitment in their lives. For this, I'm sure there are many who are grateful.
He may not even agree with my saying, "God bless and keep him" but I want to say it anyway because I truly believe God will.
My deepest sympathy and sincere condolences.
Love,
Kathy

I am so sorry to hear about frank s passing. Frank was a warm genuine soul. I am grateful for the time we spent together and remember fondly that frank introduced me to the music of John David souther. I have had the first album playing since he passed and I cannot help but smile when I remember the first time he played it for me in ridgewood. My deepest condolences to his family.
Also a lifetime of gratitude for the nickname that he and ray o Connor gave me
