Obituary of Andrew Hermann
Andrew William Hermann, age 93, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 19, 2007. Born in Passaic, he lived in Paramus for 59 years. Andrew was a laser optics engineer with Holobeam Corporation of Paramus until retiring in 1977. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army and he was a member of American Legion Post 207 of Paramus. He was a charter member of South Orange Seaport Society Model Boat Club. Andrew was an amateur radio operator with call letters KB2YHN. Andrew is survived by his two sons; Don and his wife Nancy of Lanoka Harbor, NJ and Ron and his wife Janet of Wyckoff. He is also survived by his three dear granddaughters; Michelle, Nicole, and Carrie as well as several nieces and nephews. Andrew was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary to whom he was married for 63 years and his brothers Joseph, John and Edward. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff. A funeral service will take place on Monday, 10:30 AM at the funeral home followed by interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
