What a wonderful man I was so saddened to hear of Mr Lavosky's passing. I grew up across the street he was our Little League coach and always available as a mentor. Over the years I would drive by my house on Kennedy Ct and all the fond memories would come flooding in and quite offer Mr L would be working on his yard or garden and we would reminisce . I will try miss " running " into him and discussing the old days God Bless may he rest in peace. Wayne Poller

I met my Uncle Bill when I was about 5 years old I'm now 75). I had a little girl crush on his because I thought he was so handsome and so much fun. In later years he welcomed me into his home when I was a college student. And later, he welcomed one of our daughters and one or sons into his home when they were college students.
My husband Bill, our son Will, Uncle Bill and his son Billy were photographed in Uncle Bill's living room during a rare visit when all four Williams were present at the same time.
We have stayed in touch over the years. I will miss him very much and am grateful that he could be part of my life and that of my family.
Love,
Judith

As I remember my father, I think of a proud merchant mariner, avid gardener, and hard working engineer. He loved to figure out how things worked and could fix most anything. He had traveled the world as a young man, and carried that worldly perspective throughout his life. He had strong opinions about most things, especially politics. He loved to lend a hand to neighbors whenever he could. Most of all I remember him as a family man. He adored my mother and loved his children, grandchildren and extended family and made a difference in every life he touched.

Dad you have lived a good, full live. From being a coal miner in Margaret PA, to serving in the merchant marines at the end of WWII, to being the dapper dresser with custom made suits living in Brooklyn during the 40s and 50s. You have shed your failing, frail body and are now at peace with mom where you are one with God. Your legacy of helping others in need will live on and the cantankerous mood of your final days have faded, for you are now back to your true self—your spirit and essence of being.
