Dr. James Tully was my uncle. Although it saddens me that he will no longer be a physical presence, he has left us with wonderful memories and comfort. For myself he helped me make a decision to go for my BSN in a program at Hunter College instead of a traditional nursing school. He must have been a visionary because all of the nurses at hospitals are now getting the extended degree. For my mother, his sister, Patricia, he provided guidance and advice that was faith based. He was a solid reference for her during her times of crisis and illness. He laughed a lot when he visited my parents and family. He had a soft approach to difficult times. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather,uncle and physician. He lived his life with kindness and generosity. He will be chatting with the angels. May his family find some solace that only his physical self is no longer with us but he left us all with wonderful memories.
