Obituary of Raymond Todd

TODD, Raymond Robert "Bob" age 90 of Wyckoff died peacefully on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Bob was born in Paterson on January 21, 1922. He was a resident of Wyckoff for more than 60 years. Before his retirement, Bob was a Printing Pressman for the Wyckoff News. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy as a third class signalman. Bob was a member of the Wyckoff Reformed Church where he was an Usher for many years. He served his community as a member of Protection Fire Company #1 in Wyckoff for more than 55 years. Bob was the Financial Secretary for the Wyckoff Fire Dept. and was the Grand Marshall of the Memorial Day Parade in 2005. Surviving is his loving wife of 68 years, Ruth S. (nee Spear), his devoted children, Robin and her husband Richard Handzo of Toms River, NJ and Scott Todd of Lake Luzerne, NY. Bob is also survived by his grandchildren, Bethany and her husband Vishal Patel, Todd Handzo and his wife Heather, Brenna and her husband John Breece, Scott Todd, Jr., Matthew Todd and Kimberly Todd, his great grandchildren, Ajay Patel, Spencer Davis-Todd and Logan Todd, his brother Richard Todd and 2 nieces. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10:30 AM from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. Interment will follow in the Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery. Visiting is Friday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
