Obituary of Thomas P. Whited

WHITED, Thomas, 30, was tragically lost on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. Born in Ridgewood, he lived in Mahwah and Hackensack before moving to Florida about 7 months ago. Thomas was a professional automobile salesman for Englewood Volvo from 2006 to 2013. He was also a stock market day trader. Thomas was an avid baseball player, as a pitcher and in-fielder for Mahwah High School and continuing with the Paterson Black Sox and an All Star team in Cooperstown, NY. He was a member of Church at Bergen in Mahwah. He is survived by his parents William and Patricia, his brother Corbin, all of Mahwah, and his grandfather Joseph N. Barbera of Sarasota, FL. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Peter and Terry Desbets, Kathy Barbera, Tom and Carol Barbera, Jim and Ingrid Barbera, his cousins Christopher, Jonathan, Michael, Brian, Jeffery, Zachery, Katy, Carolyn, Holly, Thomas, and Nicholas, Great Uncle Carmen and Aunt Rose Trimarchi. He was predeceased by his brother Ryan, his grandmothers Camilla Whited and Katherine Barbera and his Uncle Joe Barbera. Visiting hours are Monday 2 – 4 & 7 - 9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ 07481. Funeral service is Tuesday 10:00am at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Redeemer Cemetery in Mahwah.
