I knew Frank for almost 30 years. Frank always was in control especially in difficult situations. A great friend and leader. Frank always approached things head on. NO was never in his mind he would always find a way to make things happen. We were doing a job in Pleasant Valley NY. The owner was to Pave a street as part of the project. Needless to say the owner did not come thru. Frank and i got the money necessary to pave the street so the store could open on time. Well it rained most of the night prior to the opening and the city would not let us open the store without striping the street. When the rain let up they started to strip and Frank and i held a large sheet of plastic over the paint so it would dry. Boy did we get wet. This was what Frank was about Get it done.

Dear Frank A. and Family, My sincere condolences on the loss of your father. Your Dad was a great baseball coach when we were young and he dedicated a lot of his free time trying to make us better ball players (a hopeless cause in my case). Your Dad shared a few brief stories with me about his service in Vietnam, but being young back then he didn't go into great details. Suffice it to say, I'm sure he was never thanked for his service in the late 60's early 70's like Soldiers are today. I'm sorry for your loss. msa

Frank -You never really knew how many friends you had. You were a wonderful man and were loved far more than you realized. I was one of those who "loved" you for almost forty years. You were always there for me. You and Joyce and Peter and I were a team. Those were some of the happiest times of my life. My deepest sympathy goes out to your family and may God bless them and help them through this tragic time.

In 1986, Shortly after staring work at Shultz Industries (now known as Storflex) My immeadiate boss was Ralph Santell SR. Ralph was investing lots of time and energy in my training, teaching me what store fixtures are and what their purposes were. I was new to the industry and really had no clue. I had been attempting to sell a variety of things; Scaffolding, lift trucks, energy management systems. All without very much luck. And, it was starting to feel the same way in the fixture business. Until, one day Ralph suggested that I take a ride out to Yonkers to meet a young but dynamic project manager with the promise that this fellow would teach me everything I needed to know about supermarkets and fixturing. So I did just that and boy, did he know his stuff. We took an immediate liking to each other. I probably followed him around for weeks and after that we became friends. And, later when I started my own firm, he blessed me with his friendship and patronage to help us grow. Frank was a true inspiration to all that knew him. I know I'll miss him.

To all Friends and Family we are truly sorry for your loss. Frank, One of the greatest stories I ever heard was how you and Peter Loonam met. Or should I say how your dads met on the train (bus) and got to talking after seeing each other everyday on the way to work. Till one day they got to talking about family and how my son works for A&P. They were shocked when each of them had the same story about their son’s employer. They were further shocked when they both worked in the same building in the Bronx, A&P being so big a company. I couldn't believe the end of the story was you didn't even know each other until your father’s told you to seek each other out. You guy’s were like two peas in a pod, how was it you hadn't met earlier.

Frank was a wonderful client to work with in the Real Estate group, a colleague of mine as part of the leadership team at A&P and a friend, so distinguished by his humor, smiling eyes and utter zest for life. We shared many good times together and I will cherish those memories close to my heart. Frank's earthly journey ended far too soon for those of us who loved him. I trust he will be smiling down and looking with care after all those who miss him here. Godspeed, Frank! You are one of a kind!!
