Obituary of Vicki Phillips

PHILLIPS, Vicki, age 75 of Oakland, died Monday, August 8, 2011, surrounded by her family at home. Born in Paterson, Vicki lived in North Haledon before moving to Oakland 52 years ago. She was an Administrator for UPS in Mahwah until she retired. She also owned and operated a ceramics studio in Oakland and The Chateau in Stone Harbor, NJ. Vicki was a Girl Scout Leader, member of the Bridge Club in Oakland, the Oakland Women's Club, Ocean 21 Club, and the Molly Foundation for Diabetes Research at Hackensack University Medical Center. Vicki is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Donald, her sons; Don and his wife Lisa of Arlington, TN, Robert and his wife Carrie of Hoboken, NJ, John and his wife Molly of Ramsey, and her daughter Kristine and her husband Joe Squillace of Wyckoff; 10 grandchildren: Chloe, Morgan, Susan, Cassie, Piper, Joey, Jack, Chelsea, Nicky, and Ashleigh. She is also survived by her sisters Jeanne Wittwer of Oakland, NJ and Lois Gerken of Damascus, PA. Visiting hours will be Thursday, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481, www.vpfh.com. Funeral Service is Friday 10:30 AM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Redeemer Cemetery in Mahwah.
