Obituary of Edward Fylstra

FYLSTRA Edward, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Born in Prospect Park he lived in Wyckoff before moving to North Haledon in 2007. Mr. Fylstra was a certified public accountant and managing partner of Fylstra, Wright and Co. of Hawthorne and was a member of NJ Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was a founding board member of Atlantic Stewardship Bank and a former board member of Eastern Christian School Association. Ed was a member of Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, Wyckoff. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. Ed is survived by his beloved wife Edith to whom he was married for 67 years, his son Edward of Wilmington, NC, his son Ralph and wife Beth of Allendale, and his son Robert and wife Lori of North Haledon. He is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, his sisters Marjorie Bandstra of North Haledon and Agnes Bandstra of Wilmington, NC. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Chapel of the Holland Christian Home, 151 Graham Ave., North Haledon. Funeral Service, Saturday, 10:00 AM at the Holland Home followed by interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Eastern Christian School Association, 50 Oakwood Ave., North Haledon, NJ 07508, would be appreciated.
