Dad: Just like this lit candle shines so did any room you entered. We knew that you were a giving man but at your wake we learned so much more about your kindness and caring and suggestions. You are missed so much by us all! But we are glad you didn't suffer (that the family could see!) We especially I will treasure all the days we had together shopping and laughing. Sorry we didn't get our cleaning service going. LOVE YOU DAD! Love Jim & Dorothy and the whole crew of our Sunday dinners

Dad, it has now been a week since you have left us and joined Mom in Heaven. We know that you and Mom were pleased that all of your hard work of raising the five us was very evident during these difficult times and I am sure that the family values that you cherished so much will continue to keep us together. You are missed terribly by all but we are all confident that you are now in heaven with your true loves. Rest in peace, watch over us and please give a hug to Kev for us.

Dear Barbara, Steve and Family: Please accept our most sincere condolences on the passing of your Father. We would have been with you today but we are taking care of our granddaughters. Steve was a blessing to those he touched. Not only was he a blessing in the big things, but the little things as well. I can remember his getting up early in the morning and bringing each neighbors papers up from the driveway to their door. A simple but thoughtful form of love. Yes, he will be missed. But it is also a time to rejoice that Jesus has taken one of his saints home. Don, Jieling and Steve Quinn, now in Issaquah WA.

I have so many happy childhood memories of Ridgewood. Sometimes it seemed like my second home. Christmas was always a special occasion. Walking in the door from Long Island with my mom and dad, we were always greeted by your laughter and warm smile as you were taking baked clams out of the oven. And my dad would be headed towards the blender for a whiskey daiquiri. I used to love the smell of your pipe. I remember a cherry tobacco smell. Everybody would be there and my cousins and I would be running around wrecking the place. Sorry Dorothy about your Barbie's heads. Uncle Steve you sure will be missed here but welcomed in heaven. Love you Geronimo

On April 20th, we lost the most devoted Father, Grand Father, Great Grandfather and Uncle, the world has ever known. There isn't enough space available to say all the great things that my Dad/Father has accomplished. The world was a better place when my Dad was living, and I'm sure that he will continue protecting and loving all of his family, friends and relatives, from Heaven.
Rest In Peace, Dad and please give Mom a Kiss and Hug from us.
Love,
Stephen, Jr. and Barbara

Grandpa-
I still don't believe it and don't know if I ever really will. I'm going to miss calling and/or seeing you everyday, not hearing your voice is going to be a huge adjustment for me, one I'm not quite prepared for. You've taught me so much over the years, and we've had so many great memories that I'll cherish and pass on to my children one day. There was nothing better than showing up at your door unannounced with food for you, or just to stop by to say I love you and talk about the "good old days." You've touched so many lives and were so gentle and giving, I can only hope to be even half the person you were. My 3 little guys will miss the trips to go see "grandpa." I'll have to take your place in saying what an ugly dog Dizzy is even though I don't agree :). Grandpa, I love you and already miss you so much, it's hard not to cry writing this but I try to remember one of the last things you said to me before you sang to me and said I love you was not to cry because it weakens the heart...right now my heart has just lost one of the greatest men to grace this Earth. I am beyond honored to have called you my Grandfather and I'll always be your Little One. Give Nana, Kevin, and Aunt Marg lots of kisses and make sure to keep dancing up in that big beautiful sky. I love you so much.

Grandpa, As much as I hate to see you go I know its for the best and you've finally found peace. Like I said to mom you can finally go bowling and golf again and eat all the whopper juniors you want with no onions of course! I'll treasure every sunday dinner we've had together, the times I went down to bring you your potpie and we'd just sit there and talk. It just doesnt feel real that your out of my life physically, but emotionally you will always be with me. I think this is so hard to type cause I love you to much and dont want you gone yet, but I know you're better now and god and nana need you up there. I love you so much grandpa and not a day will go by with me not thinking about you.
I love you and will miss you,
Stephen
P.S- The mets won 9-1 today and it was all for you

Grandpa,
You truly are one of the greatest men I have ever had the honor of knowing. You taught me SO many things about life, love, faith, family, friendship, giving and more... I am so grateful for all of those lessons and times that I had with you. From Sunday dinners at Mom and Dad's... the first time I drove your car (I still swear the mirror was not on good!:) ) to me and the "Little One" showing up at your house on Colonial Road just to chat...the family gatherings...sleepovers with you and Nana...I could go on forever. Every moment I was able to share with you has helped me to become a better person. I know you are where you want to be now, with your love, Nana, and the two of you will watch over all of us - just like old times. Thank you for all of the years of wonderful memories, and all of the life lessons - I will treasure them always! Rest peacefully, Grandpa - until we meet again.
Love Always and Forever,
Heather

I am Maureen Bommer's mother Lori Adam . I had the good fortune to meet Steve while we were in NJ. The prayer group would come each week to pray for healing for our Granddaughter Julia, and later for Maureen. I so enjoy praying the rosary with the group. He gave us all encouragement and hope . When Julia and Maureen died, again he was there for the family, He always talk so highly of his children and grandchildren and was so proud of his family. Steve was like a father and grandfather to Maureen and the children. He never forgot the children's birthday and was always there to celebrate a First Communion or graduation. It was always good to see him at the celebrations. We shall miss him greatly. I am sure he is in heaven renewing a friendship with Maureen and Julia. Lori Adam Buffalo,NY

Grandpa,
I will miss you. I have so many wonderful memories of you and Nana.....Sundays by the pool, holidays, you taking me to roller skate and being so patient as I flopped all over the place, trips to NY, the circus, Radio City Music Hall, celebrating your accomplishments in Maryland, seeing you and Nana at my dance recitals and plays, you doing the conga at my wedding:)... the list could go on and on....I am so thankful that Troy and my girls were able to know you. I will always continue to cherish the memories I have. I know you are up in Heaven with Nana, looking down on all of us. You have accomplished so much and have touched so many lives.... I hope I can follow in your footsteps. I know I have two angels to guide me.
Until we meet again,
Jenn

Dad,
You've always said, "Don't be afraid of dying, it's part of life." Well, Dad, sorry, but I'm afraid of not being able to hear or see you everyday! Now you are with Mom and you can watch all the upcoming happy events together. You were such a giving person and showed me everyday you were here on earth that whenever someone needed a helping hand, whether it was words of wisdom or prayers, you were always there. We had many enjoyable Sunday dinners. Lots of laughs and memories. Cubby will surely get skinnier now without your little slips to him.
Thank you Dad for EVERYTHING. You and Mom were wonderful teachers and parents. May your love and teachings always be seen in my actions. Until we meet again remember," I Love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck!"

Dad,
let me see...model, rock, example and yes even stubborn are words that come to mind but none of them come before love or faithful. You were an amazing man Dad and I find that the words of scripture, which have been on my mind these last few days, "...the word became flesh..." describe you perfectly for you truly showed all of us in the family and so many others of God's love and care. Life has not ended, it has changed and that is a fact. It has changed and will remain changed. We are changed because of you and may I and we affected by your love and faith remain changed as well so that we too may see the love God has for us and to share God's love with others. I believe you are at peace Dad and living the eternal life we look forward to. Take care pop until we meet again. Love, Walter
