Obituary of John Hulsebos

HULSEBOS John R. "Jack", age 74, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, April 11, 2011. Born in Hawthorne, he lived in Prospect Park before moving to Hawthorne 17 years ago. Jack was a self-employed home improvement contractor. He was a former member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Paterson where he served as a deacon and usher, and he was presently a member of Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, Wyckoff. He served his country in the United States Army. Jack is survived by his beloved wife Annamae to whom he was married for 53 wonderful years, his four children; Linda Dykhouse and husband Thomas of North Haledon, his son Steven and wife Beverly of Hawthorne, his daughter Judy DeBruin and husband Darryl of Wyoming, MI and his son Roy and wife Amie of North Haledon, twelve grandchildren; Kristin, Michael and Kimberly Dykhouse, Jenna and husband Philip Beverly and Andrew and Devin Hulsebos, Grant, Mitchell, Connor and Eleyna DeBruin, and Ryan and Jack Hulsebos. He is also survived by his sisters; Carol Anne Boonstra and husband Arthur of North Haledon, and Lois Fisher and husband Dennis of Bel Air, MD Friends may visit the family on Thursday, 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Following private interment at Fair Lawn Cemetery, a memorial service will be held on Friday, 11:00 AM at Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, 422 Cedar Hill Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Eastern Christian School Association, 50 Oakwood Avenue, North Haledon, NJ 07508, would be appreciated.
