Obituary of Timothy W. Reiter

Reiter, Timothy Wayne, of Waldwick, NJ, passed away in the early morning hours of July 4, 2012 at his home with family at his side. He was born June 6, 1961 in Billings, MT, the son of William E. and Allene (Peery) Reiter. He graduated from Shepherd High School at Shepherd, MT in 1979. While he was serving in the U.S. Army, he met and married the love of his life, Ruth Ann Bickle. Their lives together took them from Fort Riley, KS and eventually to Waldwick, NJ. Tim made sure that his daughter Regina Lynn learned everything about vehicles while they spent many wonderful times trucking together. Tim grew up on a farm in Billings, loving both the animals and the activities associated with farm equipment. He had a life-long enjoyment of semi-trucks and cars. Tim and Ann drove semi as a team for several years and overall he logged 2.7 million miles during twenty-one years. He changed careers in 2005 and worked as a mechanic on industrial forklifts until he had the opportunity to attend the WyoTech College at Blairsville, PA where he took classes in trim & upholstery and collision & refinishing of vehicles. He was accepted into BMW's Service Technician Education Program which he completed with honors and became an associate in the paint and body repair department with BMW's facility referred to as The Port at Newark, NJ. Within the past two years he transferred to BMW of North America, Woodcliff Lake, NJ as a Body & Paint Technical Business Specialist. He truly loved everything about working at BMW. Tim was a teacher and encourager to everyone. He loved a funny story and shared them often. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann; his daughter, Regina; his parents, Bill and Allene; two sisters, Jeanette (Jim) Gartner and Brenda Reiter as well as his mother-in-law Linda (Ray) Wiser; two sisters-in-law, Gail (Tuffy)) Palm and Brenda (Bob) Frampton; and a brother-in-law, Allen (Karen) Slagle. He loved his nieces, nephews and friends. Tim loved receiving the pictures Justin Gartner colored and was excited about Justin's art talent.
