Obituary of Ann Van Dongen

VAN DONGEN, Ann J. "Angie", age 79 of Nazareth, PA formerly of Wyckoff, died Sunday, February 27, 2011. Born in Midland Park, Angie was a long time resident of Wyckoff before moving to Nazareth, PA in 1989. She was a member of the Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church in Wyckoff and attended the Grace Bible Fellowship Church of Nazareth. Surviving is her loving husband of 59 years, Donald E. Van Dongen, her devoted daughters, Linda Steiginga of Midland Park, Carol and her husband Alan Hoeksema of Lansing, IL and Nancy and her husband Roger Tuit of Ringwood. Angie also leaves her adoring grandchildren, Jennifer and Mark Anema, Katie and Jeff Sonnema, Philip and Lindsey Tuit, Jacob Tuit and fiance′ Jillian Berry, Esther Tuit and Micah Hoeksema and great grandchildren, Luke and Hailey Anema and Brendan Sonnema. Also surviving are her brother and sister, Peter Orbeck, Jr. of Jenison, MI and Shirley Buwalda of Wayne. Angie was pre-deceased by her sister Wilma Bouman and her son-in-law Harold Steiginga both in 2005. Angie enjoyed spending time at the family vacation home in Harpswell, ME. Funeral services will be held Friday 10:30 AM from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Interment will follow in the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Visiting is Thursday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
