I sit here typing truly in the state of shock. I was just at Dr. Welch's office and upon checking out saw her tribute on the desk. I cannot believe this wonderful vet and person that I have come to know and respect...is gone. I did not know anything about it. She was one of the most amazing people I have ever come to know. Her love and devotion for animals was remarkable. She has gotten me through many tough times with my pets and I will now cherish those memories forever. She always had a bright smile and an encouraging word to say. It is too sad to think that she saved so many animals lives and no one was able to save hers. She will be our guardian angel. My heart goes out to her family and friends. I can only imagine the loss you must feel. Dr. Welch will be in our daily prayers.

We feel grateful and privileged to have known Dr. Welch. We met her in the despair of trying to save our kitten, searching for a second opinion. We have lost hope until we found her. We knew immediately we can trust her. Dr. Welch saved our kitten and Sammy is now a healthy playful cat that fills our hearts and home with so much love. She was so proud to see the progress in him during our last visit. She kept holding him and kissing him and Sammy didn't fear her one bit. We have been thankful for all she has done for us and we know that now we all have an angel to care and watch over us. Our heart goes out to her family, extended family at FLAH, all her friends and everyone who had the privilege of ever meeting her. She is an inspiration on how to become a better person. Her legacy will forever live through her beautiful children and her memory will be kept alive in all of our hearts. May she always smile from up above. Noemi & Michael

I originally met Dr. Cheryl through Lisa Zisa at Birdy Boutique and from the moment I met her, I immediately realized what a genuinely loving and caring doctor and person she was. Dr. Cheryl gave so much to so many (and to me personally) that there are just not enough words to express my gratitude. It was an absolute privilege and honor to have known her and my condolences go out to her family during this difficult time. Forever in our prayers……..Julie Hanf and my “kids” Thomas, Peter, Olivia and Samuel J.

We thank God we met Cheryl. What a beacon of Love, Light and Healing. If only we could each bring a tenth of the Love, Light and Healing that Cheryl brought into the world every day.We are all blessed who had the opportunity to meet this luminous being. Meeting her permanently changed me, I should say transformed me, in a deep and powerful spiritual imprint. Words cannot even begin to capture the essence, the spirit, the healing sacred presence, the wisdom of this woman. We can still see her compassionate eyes, looking deep into ours, looking into our souls, her silent intent listening. She healed all of us, Cheryl was a true Healer. This is something that cannot be taught in medical school. But a Divine Sacred Healer was at the very core of Cheryl's being. She taught me something by being in her presence that will be with me always, and for that I am most thankful. She just embodied Spiritual Truth. It was a presence that reached out across space in a room and just healed one. There is a story in the Bible about a woman who touched the garment of Jesus and was instantly healed. This reminds me of Cheryl. I touched the Garment of Truth as it touched me and was healed. This is the effect of all true spiritual healers. And Cheryl embodied this Spiritual Truth. Her heart was huge and Sacred and reached out to others and healed them. And we thank God for her. Hope and Martin

Cheryl was nothing less than an immense bright smile of enthusiasm and compassion. I wish I knew her more than I did but how she has shown so brightly through Jack is evident and her strength, perseverance, compassion, and integrity. I am so blessed to have shared some very beautiful conversations, insight, and her amazing gift with animals. I dearly love and will miss her and my commitment to Jack as a teacher and friend will last a lifetime as I promised her. My love and peace for the entire family and friends are with you all, especially my lil brother Jack...

Our sympathies go out to Dr. Welch’s family and all that knew her. There are no words to express how sorry we are for your loss. Our family is deeply saddened to hear of her passing but we are also very grateful to say that we knew her and that she was a part of our lives. Although we only knew each other through the animal hospital, we felt we always shared a special connection (aka Ralphie). Please know that our family (and furry family) will miss her terribly and that you are all in our prayers.

I remember when Cheryl bought her horse years ago, and how proud and happy she was to show it off to me. Even at that young age she knew she wanted to dedicate herself to taking care of animals. From the various emails I have received over the years I knew she has grown into a remarkable woman. You should be proud of all she accomplished in her life. My prayers are with you. JO

We are heartbroken to hear of the passing of Dr. Welch. The first time I took my cat to Dr. Welch, I walked into the office and she was down on the floor on all fours talking to a dog and she was very pregnant at the time. It was obvious to me how much she cared about animals and would do whatever it takes to make them feel calm and cared for. I knew that she was the right doctor for my sick cat. That was about 13 years ago. I'll never forget her and her big smile. She was one in a million. We are very sorry to your family for this devastating loss.

Cheryl was our beloved vet for so many animals, but almost as soon as you met her she became your friend. She supported me and my family thru the death of my husband Peter and the passing of many pets -- and I always knew she was there for everyone she met. I am deeply saddened by her sudden passing and extend to her children and all those who loved her my deepest sympathy. May God bless you and comfort you in the days and months ahead. No more beautiful person ever lived and it was a great privilege to call her my friend. She will never be forgotten in my heart. I praise God for her life here on earth. Karen S

To the family and friends of Dr. Cheryl Welch, She was a great person and an excellent vet. She had a big heart. Last summer my husband nearly ran over an injured baby squirrel with his lawn mower in our yard. We immediately knew we could take it to Dr. Cheryl and she would make sure the squirrel was in good hands. When my husband brought the squirrel into her office, her staff took on the responsibility of the squirrel. They even asked my husband what he would like to name him/her. Dr. Cheryl and her staff really came through that day. Dr. Cheryl Welch will be greatly missed. She was one of a kind!
