Obituary of Raymond Harrison

HARRISON, Raymond I., age 89, died on Saturday, May 12, 2007. Born in Hoboken on Feb 18, 1918, he lived in Waldwick, before moving to Allendale in 1965. He was a Staff Sergeant in Communications in US Army Aircorp from July 1942 until July 1945, serving in the Middle East, Africa, and Italy, where his unit received three Presidential Citations. He was a Graduate of New York University with a BS in finance and then attended the NYU Graduate School of Business. Raymond was a Senior Investment Analyst for New York Life Insurance Company, New York from 1936 to 1980. He was a Master Mason in the Wyckoff Masonic Lodge and a member of the Allendale VFW. He served as a member of the Waldwick Zoning Board. He was also a member of Activities Unlimited in Wyckoff and Haworth. He is survived by his son Raymond of Allendale, his son Richard of Franklin Lakes, his daughter Janet Lynne Harrison of Bethlehem, PA, and his granddaughters Erica and Victoria Harrison. He is predeceased by his wife Dorothy Graham Harrison in 1993. Visiting will be Tuesday, May 15, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. Funeral will be Wednesday, May 16, at 11:00 AM at the Wyckoff Reformed Church, 580 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff, NJ. Interment will follow at the George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
