Obituary of Andrew Gallo

Andrew Gallo, age 80, died peacefully on Monday, May 7, 2007. Born in Farmington, West Virginia, he had lived in Wyckoff, for the past 54 years. Andrew was a plumbing and HVAC contractor with the Oakland Board of Education for 17 years prior to retiring in 1995. He was a Navy veteran having served the United States on the U.S.S. Winslow during World War II. Beloved husband of Laurel (nee Park) to whom he was married for 58 wonderful years. Also survived by his dear son Steven and his wife Jean of Dingmans Ferry, PA, his four granchildren, his daughter-in-law Linda of Midland Park and several neices and nephews. Andrew was predeceased by his son Richard in 1988. Cremation was private. There will be a gathering of friends on Saturday, May 19, 2007, from 1:30 to 2:30 followed by a service of remembrance, 2:30 at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Valley Hospice, 223 North Van Dien Ave. Ridgewood, NJ 07450, would be appreciated. www.vpfh.com
