Obituary of Bernard Houseward

Bernard William Houseward, age 88, walked the upward path into heaven's glory on Saturday, April 14, 2007. A man of great faith, he was known for his commitment to the Christian Reformed Church of Midland Park and the group, Senior Crusaders. His personal ministry extended to countless friends and those for whom he cared. Bernie was a self-employed designer for Bernard Houseward Associates. He is survived by his daughter and son, Bernice Houseward and Stephen Pastoor of Grand Rapids, MI, and his sisters, Cora Mack and Nella Kirk of Fort Lauderdale, FL, as well as his companion, Esther Beekman, her family, several brother and sister in-laws and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Henriette DeVries and his second wife, Kathryne Miller. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, 2 �" 4 and 7 �" 9 PM at Olthuis Funeral Home, 159 Godwin Ave. Midland Park.
