Obituary of Violet Westermeyer

Violet Westermeyer (nee Sanzari ), age 88, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 28, 2007. Born in Hackensack, she lived in Waldwick for the past 19 years. Violet was an order clerk with Scholastic Magazine of Englewood Cliffs for 20 years before retiring in 1983. She was a parishioner of Church of the Nativity, Midland Park. Violet is survived by her three dear children; Diane Cutrone of Waldwick, Louis DeGeorgia of Waldwick and Donald Westermeyer of Milan, NY. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and her four sisters; Rose Leone of South Hackensack, Jennie Piazza of Rochelle Park, Emma Benvenuto of Norwood and Margaret Licastro of Rochelle Park. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Louis DeGeorgia in 1944, her husband Eugene Westermeyer in 1992 and her son-in-law George Cutrone in 2000. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff. A funeral mass will take place on Monday, 9:30 AM at Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect Street, Midland Park. Interment, Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Hackensack. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to help Violet's granddaughter Elizabeth Westermeyer who was recently diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, would be appreciated.
