Obituary of Louis Candelario
Candelario, Louis M., "Uncle Louie", age 78, of Paramus went to eternal rest on Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he resided in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Paramus 20 years ago. He was a US Army veteran having served with the 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean and Vietnam Wars as a Special Forces Green Beret. Prior to his retirement he was employed by the US Postal Service working in Paramus and then in Wayne. Louis attended Annunciation RC Church, Paramus, NJ. Louis is survived by his sisters, Maria Kaetz Eigen of Hawthorne, NJ and Blanche Caballero and brother, Hector M. Candelario both of Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews; Nancy Blatt, Edward, William, Carolyn and Charlie Kaetz, Christopher Galluzzo, Natividad and Juan A. Caballero, Hector Jr., Carlos and David Candelario. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 10:45 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, 1 Passaic St., Ridgewood, NJ. A private cremation was held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Louis' memory may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250 or Cancer Care, Inc., 141 Dayton St., Ridgewood, NJ 07450.
