Obituary of Laurie Travers

TRAVERS, Laurie C. (nee Bender) age 73, died peacefully on Monday, February 12, 2007 at the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff. Laurie was born in Paterson on December 16, 1933. She was a resident of Ridgewood where she graduated from Ridgewood High School before moving to Wyckoff in 1961. Mrs. Travers worked as a professional model for the Grace Downs Agency in New York City for many years. She was a member of the Wyckoff Reformed Church. Surviving are her devoted children, Susan Geering of Wyckoff, Ellen Martino of Glenwood, NJ, Danelle Barona of Fords, NJ, James E. Travers of Flagstaff, AZ, and Thomas W. Travers of Delray Beach, FL. Laurie also leaves ten adoring grandchildren. In 1996 Mrs. Travers was pre-deceased by her husband Warren Travers. Funeral services will be held Thursday 12:30 pm at the Wyckoff Reformed Church, 580 Wyckoff Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff. Interment will follow in the Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery.
