Obituary of Myron Holman

HOLMAN, Myron T. age 91 of Ramsey, formerly of Franklin Lakes, died Tuesday December 7, 2010 following an extended illness at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Born one of 5 children in a farming community in Ohio, served as a technical staff sergeant in training during WW II in Camp Crowder, MO; then in France and Germany as an attachment to Gen'l Eisenhower. Married to Rose C. "Libby"(Kurtz) in 1944 and moved to New Jersey. Worked for Shotmeyer Oil Company from 1960 until his retirement at age 88 in 2007. A past Exalted Ruler of the Paramus Elks Lodge #2001 and also served for many years on various committees of the Valley Hospital. Surviving is his son and daughter-in-law of Ramsey and his brother-in-law of Clifton. Funeral services will be held Friday 10:00 AM from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Interment will follow in the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Visiting is Thursday 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
