Obituary of Walter Pakosinski
Pakosinski, Walter P. age 85 of Hawthorne died Saturday, October 30, 2010. Born in East Paterson, he was a resident of Hawthorne for 60 years. Before his retirement Walter was a custodian for the Hawthorne Board of Education for 30 years. He was a WW II Navy veteran who served from 1943-1946. He was a member of the American Legion Post 199, Hawthorne, NJ. Surviving are his three daughters, Karen Garcia of Phillipsburg, Elaine Waldorf of Hawthorne, Sandra Sconfienza of West Milford; his three sons, Paul of Clifton, Robert of Vineland and Joseph of Wyckoff. Also surviving are his two sisters, Mary Ward of Virginia and Sally Cobb of New Jersey and his 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Katherine (nee Cronk) Pakosinski in 2001. Visiting Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Olthuis Funeral Home, www.olthuisfuneralhome.com 159 Godwin Ave. Midland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 am at the Funeral Home followed by the interment in Valleau Cemetery, Ridgewood. Memorial Contributions to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. 14301, Cincinnati, Ohio 45250-0301 would be appreciated.
