Obituary of Mathilda Hymen

HYMEN, Mathilda, "Til" age 83, of Midland Park, died on Saturday, October 9, 2010. Born and raised in Midland Park, Til was a lifelong resident of Midland Park. She was a member of the Midland Park United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, belonged to circle groups, frequently participated in many of the church functions, and had written a history of the church. Til was also a member of the Midland Park Senior Center where she especially enjoyed playing Mah jongg. She also enjoyed archery and bowling. Til is survived by her beloved husband Elmer of 60 years, her loving daughter Janet Paul of Jupiter, FL and her beloved son William of Ramsey. She is also survived by her two sisters Maria Hymen of Midland Park and Frances Gunderman of Newton. Til was predeceased by her brother Abe in 1960. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ, 07481, www.vpfh.com. Funeral Service is Wednesday, 11:00am at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home.
