Obituary of Elizabeth Comly

COMLY, Elizabeth A. (nee Van Der Hey) age 80, died peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at the Holland Christian Home in North Haledon. Bette was born in Clifton on May 24, 1926. She was a resident of Wyckoff for 53 years before moving to North Haledon six years ago. After raising her four daughters Bette worked as a bookkeeper for J.P.Fisher Tile Company in Hawthorne. She was a member of the Second Reformed Church in Wyckoff. Her daughters include Lynn and her husband Ron Potash of Wyckoff, Barbara Comly of Ramsey, Patricia Comly of Hawthorne, and Wendy and her husband Joseph Jarmusch of Austin, TX. She also leaves her nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Bette was pre-deceased by her husband Robert F. Comly on May 21, 2000. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9:30am from the chapel of the Holland Christian Home, 151 Graham Avenue, North Haledon. Interment will follow at the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Visiting is Tuesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm also at the chapel. Arrangements are by the Vander Plaat Funeral Home of Wyckoff.
