Obituary of George Leiding

Leiding, George August, age 89 of Ridgewood died suddenly at his home on Friday, October 1, 2010. Born in Chicago, IL he lived in Ridgewood for 50 years. He was a WW II veteran who served in the Navy and then the Coast Guard. Before his retirement he was the Sales Manager for Hersey Products, where he was employed for 40 years. Surviving are his son Walter Leiding and his wife Karen of Wyckoff, his daughter Barbara Leiding of Bedminster, NJ, and his grandson, Joseph. Also surviving are his brothers, Charles and his wife Gloria, and Harry and his wife Dolores, all of Palatine, IL. He was predeceased by his wife Beatina "Betty" Leiding in 2007. He is remembered for his love of family and of nature, his warm personality, mischievous sense of humor, and generous spirit.
