Obituary of Janet Vander Meulen

Janet Vander Meulen (nee Van Hook), age 87, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 26, 2006. Born in Fair Lawn, she lived in Hawthorne for 55 years before moving to the Holland Christian Home a year ago. Janet was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. She was a member of Faith Community Christian Reformed Church of Wyckoff. Janet is survived by her beloved husband Jacob to whom she was married for 60 years, her four children; Eileen Hutton and husband Sipp of Summit, Diane Woolsey and husband William of Lubbock, TX, Carol Ten Brink and husband Paul of Cutlerville, MI, and William and his wife Shelley of Ann Arbor, MI. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Chapel of the Holland Christian Home, 151 Graham Ave. North Haledon. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, 10:30 AM at Faith Community Christian Reformed Church, 530 Sicomac Ave. Wyckoff, followed by interment at Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Holland Christian Home Foundation, 151 Graham Ave. North Haledon, NJ 07508, would be appreciated.
