Obituary of Gloria Funk

FUNK-TRITT, Gloria G. (nee Galla) age 82 of Teaneck, died peacefully at the Brighton Gardens in Saddle River on Sunday, August 22, 2010. Born in Jersey City, Gloria lived in North Bergen before moving to Teaneck 40 years ago. In her early career, Gloria worked as a secretary for General Electric in North Bergen and more recently as a secretary for Centrico, Inc., a manufacturing company in Montvale. Gloria was an avid animal lover, she would entice the animals in the neighborhood with goodies. Surviving are her sons, Thomas N. Tritt and his wife Christine of Wyckoff and Robert Tritt and his wife Sandra of Wood Ridge. Gloria also leaves her grandchildren, Thomas, Alexa, Samantha and Holly, her sister Carol Kroebel and her brother Richard Galla. She was pre-deceased by her husbands Peter J. Funk and Joseph Tritt. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 10:00 AM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Sag Harbor, NY. Visiting is Tuesday, 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your local Humane Society.
