Obituary of Frank Muscara

MUSCARA, Frank J. age 87, died peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2006 at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. Frank was born in New York City on November 13, 1919. He lived in Midland Park before moving to Wyckoff in 1960. Better known as "Frank the Barber", he owned and operated Frank's Barber Shop in Wyckoff for more than 55 years, where he had cut three generations of customers from many families. Frank was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth's R.C.Church in Wyckoff, a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Wyckoff Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce, and charter member of the Elks. He was a member of the police reserves and captain of the pistol team, Frank also served as a Scout Master. Surviving is his beloved wife of 62 years, Virginia (nee Pirl), his children, Frank, Jr., Carol Scrivo, Joseph, Angela Greenhut, James, and Mary Cosgrove, nineteen grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:30 am from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral mass will follow 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth's R.C.Church, 700 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. Interment will be on the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Visiting is Wednesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
