Obituary of Tillie de Waal Malefyt

DE WAAL MALEFYT, Tillie, age 84, died peacefully at home with family by her side on Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Born in Ridgewood, she lived in Mahwah for fifty-two years. Tillie was a homemaker and a dedicated volunteer for over twenty years at the Christian Health Care Center, Wyckoff. She was a member of Preakness Valley United Reformed Church, Wayne. She is survived by her two dear sons; Norman of Shelton, WA and Thomas of Wantage, NJ. She is also survived by six loving grandchildren, three loving great-grandchildren and her brother Jacob Schaper of North Haledon. Tillie was predeceased by her beloved husband Norman E. in 1997 and her dear son Daniel in 2005. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Funeral Services and interment will be private.
