I had the SINCERE PLEASURE of knowing Jamie, while at BOTH Valley Middle School in Oakland, & ALSO in my METHODOLOGY of SCIENCE Course of Study during her Senior year at William Paterson University.
We developed quite a rapport, as she was ALWAYS quite enthusiastic about becoming one of our future educators. I remember her actual Science lessons that she had prepared quite well.
She had also infomed me, when she actually did receive her teaching assignment in the Paterson Public Schools. I was VERY PROUD of her, indeed.
She will be GREATLY missed. It was a genuine pleasure to have known, & also have instructed such a truly lovely, wonderful young lady, who will always remain in my mind & heart!

Jamie's passion for teaching was very evident. She took her students on a community walk so that they will become familiar with the many businesses in the area. She always kept a smile on her face which paved the way to get through each day for herself as well as her students. She will never be forgotten.

My deepest sympathy to the Marra Family. I have known Jamie since her first day at MLK, when we were blessed to get such an enthusiastic, peppy and hard working teacher. She loved her job and took every minute of it seriously. I would always see her there very early and watch her take bags of work home to prepare for her next day's lessons. MLK will not be the same now that she is gone. My prayers go out to this family.

We remember Jamie as a beautiful, happy child at Jonna's house swimming in the backyard pool. Then as the years went by, we once again saw her as a beautiful young lady entering De Paul High School hanging out with Chris and their friends. These are the memories we will keep in our hearts. Our deepest condolesecences to the Marra family. Jamie has always been Daddy's little angel and now she is a beautiful angel in heaven with our Lord. May she rest in peace. The Polizzotto Family
