Obituary of Edward O'Flaherty

O'Flaherty, Edward (Eamon) of Waldwick, New Jersey passed on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at his home with his family by his bedside. He was born in Galway, Ireland and he immigrated to the United States in 1956. His career extended over forty-four years in the food industry. In 1982, he was honored as "Man of the Year" by the B'nai B'rith Youth Services at the New York Hilton and in 1989 The Catholic Institute of the Food Industry selected him as "Man of the Year" and honored him at the Pierre Hotel in NYC. Proceeds from this event supported the New York Foundling Home. He was a parishioner of Guardian Angel RC Church in Allendale, a member of the XYZ Club as well as a Senior Lucan at St. Luke's RC Church in Ho-Ho-Kus. He is survived by his loving wife Mary (nee Angelucci) O'Flaherty of 47 years. The Family will receive friends at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, New Jersey on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held, Monday 10 am at Church of the Guardian Angel, 320 Franklin Tpk. Allendale, NJ. Interment St. Luke's Church Cemetery, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ. In Lieu of flowers donations to Fr.
