Obituary of Margaret Marra

Marra, Margaret (nee Fitzgibbons), age 86, died Sunday, October 16, 2011 at her residence. Margaret was born in Paterson, where she resided until moving to Pompton Lakes in 1986. She was the Secretary to the Tax Assessor for the City of Paterson for 13 years. Margaret was a member of St. Mary's RC Church, Pompton Lakes. Upon retirement she enjoyed traveling to her Florida home, as well as, spending many happy days at the shore with her family. An avid crossword puzzler and card player, her happiest moments were spent with her family around her. Surviving are her children and their spouses; Jonna (Vincent) Caramico of Wyckoff, Carole (Philip) Blechschmidt of Franklin Lakes, James (Joanne) Marra of Oakland, and Jane Ellen (Roy) Phalon of Oak Ridge. Also surviving are her grandchildren and their spouses; Christopher (Olivia) Blechschmidt, Julia (Jesse) Delellis, Patrick, Connor and Janelle Phalon, Jennifer and Jill Marra and Jessica Caramico and two great grandchildren Jaylen and London Delellis. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, John in 1995, a grandson Jeffrey Blechschmidt in 2010, a granddaughter Jamie Marra in 2010, two brothers, Walter and Jack Fitzgibbons and a sister Joyce Belfield.
