Obituary of Jean Eckstein

Jean Elizabeth (nee Kinahan) Eckstein, age 47, of Waldwick died Saturday, July 24, 2010. Jean was born in Brooklyn, NY and had been a resident of Waldwick for many years. She was a Teacher's Aide for the Head Start Program in Bergenfield for the past 8 years. Jean was a loving and caring mother to her three children; Kathleen Sarah, Jennifer Leigh, and Mark Edward Eckstein, and an adoring daughter of, Olga (nee Pokol) Kinahan all of Waldwick. Jean is survived by her husband, Paul Eckstein of North Haledon, NJ. And was a devoted sister to her four brothers and their wives; Edward Vincent and Giovanna Kinahan, Jr. of Wyckoff, NJ, Nicholas Charles and Lynn Marie Kinahan of Hawthorne, NJ, Jason Brian and Virginia Mae Kinahan of Northfield, CT, and Padraic John and Christie Ann Kinahan of West Milford, NJ. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her father, Edward Vincent Kinahan, Sr. in 2005 and her sister, Kathleen Mary Kinahan in 1968. Visiting hours will be Wednesday 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, 9:30 am at the Funeral Home with interment following in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
