Obituary of William Zuck

ZUCK, William Charles ("Bill"), Sr., 90, died July 21, 2010, at his daughter's home, with family at his bedside.Mr. Zuck was born May 28, 1920, in New York, NY, and served during World War II in the United States Army Air Corps as a chemical lab assistant in the 482 Air Service Squadron. He was stationed in Luzon, the Southern Philippines, and New Guinea and was awarded several service medals, including the Philippines Liberation Ribbon. He took pride in being a member of American Legion Post #1, Leonia, NJ. Mr. Zuck married on May 23, 1948; he and his wife Marie lived in Leonia, NJ, and later Wayne, NJ, where they were members of Calvary Lutheran Church and St. Timothy Lutheran Church, respectively. Mr. Zuck worked for Kohl & Madden in Lodi, NJ, as a printing ink chemist. He retired to Cape Cod, MA, where he and Marie were members of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Harwich, MA. They moved to Bel Air, MD, in 2010. Mr. Zuck is survived by his beloved wife Marie C. Zuck (nee Dummeyer) of Bel Air, MD; his daughter Andrea and her husband Charles Davies of Bel Air, MD; his daughter-in-law Susan Zuck Keough of Foxboro, MA; and his grandchildren William C. Zuck, III, Karen Bell (nee Zuck), Nancy Zuck, Timothy Davies, Anne Davies and Stephen Davies. He was predeceased by his son Dr. William C. Zuck, Jr., and his brother Alfred Zuck. Friends may visit the family on Monday, July 26, 2010, 10:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 395 Valley Road, Wayne. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
