Obituary of Maureen Brannigan

BRANNIGAN, Maureen A. age 48 of Ft. Lee, NJ died peacefully on Saturday, July 17, 2010 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous and inspirational battle with Scleroderma. Maureen was born in the Bronx, NY on August 29, 1961. She grew up in Monroe, NY before moving to Ft. Lee more than 18 years ago. In 1996 Maureen earned her associates degree from St. Peter's College in Jersey City. She was employed by IBM in New York City as a sales manager for many years prior to her illness. Some of her greatest enjoyments were spending time with her family, friends and traveling. Surviving is her loving and caring mother, Bridget (nee Swift) Brannigan, her devoted siblings, James and his wife Maureen of Syosset, NY, Matthew and his wife Susan of East Greenwich, RI, Denise and her husband Charles Catalanotto of Orangeburg, NY and Kevin and his wife Maureen of Hillsdale, NJ. Maureen also leaves her beloved fiance' Robert Corley of Allendale. One of the most important joys in Maureen's life were her nieces and nephews, Amanda, Megan, Ryan, Kayla, Kyle, Luke, Caitlin, Tara and Connor. Robert's children Jennifer and Brian were also very special to Maureen. Maureen was pre-deceased by her father James W. Brannigan in 2002. A funeral mass will be held Thursday 11:00 AM at the Church of the Presentation, 271 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, NJ. Visiting is Tuesday 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Wednesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ.
