Obituary of Joseph D'Angelo

D'ANGELO, Joseph, J., Sr., age 86, died peacefully at home with his family by his side on Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Born in Queens, NY, he lived in Wyckoff for the past 47 years. Joe was a self-employed machine designer with JO DE Machine, Inc. of Hawthorne for thirty years before retiring in 1993. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army. Joe was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, Wyckoff. Survived by his beloved wife Emelia "Mim" to whom he was married for 61 years, his daughter Maria C. Timmes and husband Robert of Ramsey, his son Joseph J., Jr. of Riverdale, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and his sister Mary Arena of Florida. Friends may visit the family on Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Funeral Prayers, Tuesday, 9:15 AM at the funeral home followed by Funeral Mass, 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff. Interment, Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah.
