Obituary of Joseph Russo

RUSSO, Joseph M., age 85, of Ringwood died peacefully on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Joseph was born in Bronx, NY and had lived in Waldwick and West Milford before moving to Ringwood. Joseph was a parishioner of Queen of Peace R. C. Church in West Milford and was an avid golfer. Prior to his retirement, Joseph was a furniture salesman for Huffman Koos for many years and most recently, was employed by Fireside Furniture, Pompton Plains. Surviving is his devoted children, Gail A. Rifflard-Krumscheid of Ringwood and Mark W. Russo and his wife Peggy of Dallas, TX. Joseph also leaves his grandchildren, Michael, Scott and his wife Nargis, Joseph, Matthew and Jonathan, his great grandchildren, Matthew, Nicolas, Julia and Brandon, and his sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Paul Paulsen of Arizona. Joseph was predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Gertrude (nee Ciulla) on December 3, 2009 and his son-in-law Robert Krumscheid in 2006. Funeral mass will be held Friday, 10:00 am at the Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect Street, Midland Park. Interment will follow in Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah. Visiting is Thursday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff.
