Obituary of Beverly Durfee

DURFEE, Beverly, age 81 of Mahwah, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010. Born in Westwood, she lived in Woodcliff Lake for 36 years, before moving to Mahwah 16 years ago. Beverly was a lifelong volunteer in the recovery room at Pascack Valley Hospital. She was an avid Bridge Player and belonged to many groups. Beverly also enjoyed traveling the world. Surviving is her companion William Smith of Mahwah, daughter Sharon Durfee of Fort Collins CO, her son Mark Durfee and his wife Susan of Franklin Lakes, and her grandchildren Benjamin, Andrew and Ryan. She is also survived by her brother Jack of Moorpark, CA. Beverly was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Dr. George F. Durfee in 1990. There will be a funeral service 10:00am on Friday, July 2, 2010 at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
